Laugh your way out of this year and into a new one on Tuesday night, Dec. 31, when comedian Jeff D. brings his stand-up act to The Comedy Catch, 1400 Market St.
This Louisianan has brought houses down all over the country with his Southern-style humor, riotous stories, hilarious characters and satiric point of view. He moved to Los Angeles in 2002 and spent years finding his voice on well-known stages there including The Ice House in Pasadena, The Improv in Hollywood and The Comedy Store on the Sunset Strip.
Jeff D. now resides in New Orleans, where he's an actor, writer and has become a recognized face in the city's famed performing arts scene. He's appeared in the films "Grudge Match" and "Joe Dirt 2," was featured on NPR's "Bring Your Own New Orleans" storytelling series, and was named "Best of the Fest" at the Burbank Comedy Festival in 2018.
There will be two show times on New Year's Eve: 7:30 p.m., when tickets are $18; and 10 p.m., when tickets are $36. The 10 p.m. show will include hats, horns, a split of champagne, DJ Raw and dancing 'til morning.
