The Arts Center, 320 N. White St. in Athens, Tennessee, will mark the opening of "The Magic of Watercolor" with a panel discussion and reception Friday, July 19.
This is the first time artists from the Tennessee Watercolor Society's Chattanooga and Knoxville chapters have exhibited together. Almost 100 works are on view, including "Summer Tomatoes" by Jennie Kirkpatrick.
Helen Burton and Marie Spaeder Haas from the Chattanooga chapter and Spencer Hudson and Judy Lavoie from the Knoxville chapter will be the panelists for a Q&A with visitors at 5 p.m., followed by the reception from 5:30 to 7 p.m.
The exhibition continues through Friday, Aug. 23. Admission is free.
