For more than three decades, comedian James Gregory has stood in front of audiences grinning like a Cheshire cat, shirt untucked, arms outstretched in a carefree welcome to a down-home, hilarious comedy experience.
That trademark stage personna is the essence of James Gregory's comedy: rib-tickling reflections on life from the front porch.
Dubbed "The Funniest Man in America," Gregory returns to The Comedy Catch, 1400 Market St., on Friday and Saturday, June 14-15, for three shows.
Gregory is heard weekly on syndicated radio shows. He doesn't tiptoe through life as if he's walking on eggshells; he's not politically correct. Much of his humor is centered on observations of crazy relatives. He delights in poking fun at modern sensitive parents and out-of-control environmentalists.
Show times are Friday at 7:30, Saturday at 7 and 9:15 p.m. Tickets are $27 for all shows.
