Barking Legs Theater is celebrating its 26th birthday with "Whispers."

Contemporary Performing Arts of Chattanooga announces the anniversary celebration will be held Friday-Saturday, Nov. 8-9, at the theater, 1307 Dodds Ave. An exclusive VIP premiere is set for 6:30 p.m. Friday; general-admission shows are 9:30 p.m. Friday and 7 and 9:30 p.m. Saturday.

Whispers will feature a theatrical modern dance concert inspired by Italian horror cult classics, such as "Suspiria," and will explore dance as a form of magic unto itself.

Barking Legs will offer a menu of food and cocktails for the VIP reception, with the option for champagne cocktails at general-admission performances.

Performers to be featured include Ann Law, Beth Herring, Jenn Webster, Cinnamon Smith and Elizabeth Tallman, with special guest performances by Marcus Ellsworth and Bruce Kaplan.

Tickets are $25 for general admission, $50 for admission with champagne cocktails. The VIP ticket is $150, which includes admission, a reception with light bites, champagne cocktails, gourmet dessert and a meet-and-greet with the cast before showtime.

The mission of CoPAC is to enhance the community by cultivating and mentoring diverse artists, presenters and audiences in an accessible, respectful environment.
