Those marvelous Wonderettes are back for a delightfully melodic Christmas celebration when Cumberland County Playhouse presents "Winter Wonderettes" beginning Friday, Nov. 15.

"After the phenomenal success of 'The Marvelous Wonderettes' last year, we thought this show would be the perfect holiday gift to our audience," says artistic director Britt Hancock, who directs the production. "The unique vocal stylings of these classic holiday hits, along with this stellar cast of ladies, are sure to please."

In the musical, it's Christmas 1968, and Cindy Lou (Heather McCall), Missy (Hannah Hays), Suzy (DeAnna Etchison) and Betty Jean (Jess Griffin) are entertaining at the annual Harper's Hardware Holiday Happening. When Santa turns up missing, the girls use their talent and creative ingenuity to save the holiday party.

Featuring great '60s versions of holiday classics such as "Santa Claus Is Comin' to Town," "Jingle Bell Rock," "Run, Rudolph, Run" and "Winter Wonderland," the result is, of course, marvelous. This energetic and glittering Christmas package is guaranteed to delight audiences of all ages, says Hancock.

"Winter Wonderettes" will run through Dec, 21. It is rated G.
