Reno Collier returns to The Comedy Catch for six performances

Reno Collier is back at The Comedy Catch, 1400 Market St., for six performances Thursday through Sunday, Jan. 9-12.

If you haven't caught his stand-up act live, you might have seen him in the film "Witless Protection," or on NBC's "Late Friday," TBS' "Blue Collar Comedy: The Next Generation" or on "The Roast of Larry the Cable Guy." He also hosted NBC's 2009 summer family reality show "Great American Road Trip."

In 2005 and 2006, he headlined the "Comics on Duty" tour for American troops stationed in Iraq. Also in 2005, he taped his own "Comedy Central Presents" half-hour special.

He can currently be heard on weekly call-ins to the Blue Collar Comedy Channel on Sirius satellite radio.

Collier's shows Thursday and Sunday at 7:30 p.m. are $11. Also, Thursday is College Night, when admission is just $3 for collegians with a valid student ID.

Tickets are $16 for the 7:30 and 9:45 p.m. shows either Friday or Saturday.

Henry Cho in South Pittsburg

The South Pittsburg Historical Preservation Society presents "Henry Cho Live!" on Friday, Jan. 10, at 7 p.m. CST in The Princess Theatre, 215 S. Cedar Ave. in South Pittsburg, Tennessee.

Cho's Comedy Central special, "What's That Clickin Noise," is currently running on Netflix. His TV credits include NBC's "The Tonight Show," CBS' "Late, Late Show" and NBC's "Young Comedians" special. He served two years as host of NBC's "Friday Night Videos" and has had guest roles on several sitcoms.

His clean comedy is so versatile that he has headlined in Las Vegas but also toured with Christian singer Michael W. Smith. He co-starred and co-produced the faith-based film "Saving Faith," released by Lions Gate. He was nominated for Best Supporting Actor by the International Christian Film Festival.

He recently completed filming the Hallmark movie "The Farmer and the Belle - Saving Santaland."
