As 1885 Grill continues to grow and thrive in the heart of St. Elmo, partner and manager Miguel de Jesus announces that he and his team have some exciting things in the works for 2019.

First, the St. Elmo hot spot has a newly renovated space specially designed for guests to relax and mingle while they wait for their tables.

"One of things we wanted to do was make sure people are comfortable while they're waiting," says the manager, noting the newly added couches and subtle lighting.

And the timing couldn't be more perfect as 1885 Grill gets ready for Valentine's Day.

The restaurant will offer a fixed-price menu that will be announced soon on its Facebook page and website. The special will feature a personal appetizer, salad, entrée and shared dessert, all catered to create a relaxed and very romantic evening with your special someone.

Three seatings will be offered: 5, 6:45 and 8:30 p.m. Reservations will be available beginning Monday, Jan. 28, and will be taken until Feb. 13 or sell-out, whichever comes first.

"They will fill up fast," de Jesus advises. "We make it an evening like nowhere else. Your seating time is your (designated) time and you don't have to wait. You come in, and we will have your table ready to go."

Prices for the special Valentine's Day meal depend on items selected by each couple, but will range from $45 to $55 per person.

As soon as Valentine's Day is over, the restaurant is kicking off some community-oriented events beginning with a Giveback Night on Feb. 25, which will benefit the Children's Advocacy Center. From there, 1885 Grill will jump into all the fun of A'museum fundraiser on March 2 to benefit Creative Discovery Museum, followed by another Giveback Night to help Paul's Pantry later that month.

"We love being part of these events," says de Jesus. "It gives us a chance to partner with some great groups."

As its success grows, the restaurant's management is also making preparations to open its new Cambridge Square location in Ooltewah this summer.

"We're really looking forward to 2019 for many reasons," says the manager. "It's going to be a year for us to grow and share even more."

Regulars can still count on all their favorite dishes from 1885, as well as live music on the patio as the weather warms and its decadent weekend brunches. Brunch is served 11 a.m.-2 p.m. on Saturdays, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. on Sundays.
