Mission BBQ will honor the country's Korean War veterans with a free sandwich Saturday, July 27, the official National Korean War Veterans Armistice Day.

On that day, multiple nations signed an armistice suspending all hostilities and securing peace on the Korean peninsula. In remembrance of the "Forgotten War," Mission BBQ salutes the men and women in service from that era with this gesture of appreciation.

All Mission BBQ locations will participate in giving free sandwiches to Korean War veterans between 11 a.m. and 10 p.m. Saturday. Chattanooga's Mission BBQ is located at 1926 Gunbarrel Road.

Stop in at noon and join the singing of the national anthem, an everyday occurrence at the restaurant.
