Summer dining will bring new flavors and specials to Kobe Hibachi Sushi in Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia. Restaurant manager Long Tam said the staff is working harder than ever to bring customers good food and great deals to help them enjoy the season.

"Customer satisfaction and cleanliness is our first priority," Tam said as to what he and his team at Kobe are striving for this summer. "I've been managing for more than 10 years."

Diners for lunch will want to check out Kobe's new deluxe lunch box. For $7.95, guests can enjoy servings of coconut shrimp, gyoza, a spring roll, chicken, California roll, salmon- skin roll and steamed rice. Or if you prefer to amp up the taste, substitute fried rice, fried shrimp or steak for a $1 up-charge.

"For happy hour during the month of June, we will offer domestic beer for $1 and amaretto cocktails for $3.99," Tam said. Happy hour is Monday-Thursday from 4:30 to 6 p.m.

The atmosphere at Kobe is tranquil, and the space lends itself to carrying on conversations with family and friends over a meal. Diners can either choose from the restaurant's many sushi bar options, or sit at the bar with a drink after a long day. Families can also enjoy the traditional hibachi- style meal and a table complete with their own grill and chef preparing favorites from chicken and shrimp to steak and lobster.

A popular item among regulars at the sushi bar is the Dynamite Roll made with tuna, salmon, yellowtail and avocado with spicy mayo and eel sauce.

On the well-done side, some of the restaurant's faithful followers enjoy many of the combination dinners such as chicken and shrimp, steak and scallops, or filet mignon and salmon for a more hefty portion. Each hibachi combination is served with soup and side salad.

When the meal is finished, consider one of Kobe's desserts such as fried cheesecake, fried ice cream or the well-known banana-flavored mochi ice cream to top off your night.

If dining-in doesn't suit your schedule, Kobe uses Dinner Delivered. Or, guests can call in for takeout on their way home from work, the ballfield or wherever life has you hurrying to and from.
