From the blooms opening on trees to the first hints of color in the garden, it's evident that spring is nigh.

Carrie Crawford and her team at Track's End are working to bring in all their customers' favorite fruits and veggies to accentuate the flavors of the season.

At the top of their list are salads. Crawford said that for those who want a salad but still want to eat on the hearty side, there's the taco salad served in a hand-fried tortilla shell with ground beef that's cooked and seasoned in-house.

"It comes with diced onions, lettuce, tomatoes and shredded cheddar cheese," Crawford said. "No dressing is needed for this salad except for the sour cream and salsa. This is one of the heavier salads we offer, but also a well-known one."

Crawford added that she's been told it is one of those salads that you just can't stop eating, even though it's larger in size.

Another option this season is the chef salad.

"We sell more of these salads than anything," Crawford said.

"It is a bigger salad that could be lunch and dinner later on that day, with a good amount of diced turkey and ham, tomatoes and onions. It's topped off with shredded cheddar cheese and shredded mozzarella cheese, all on a bed of lettuce."

The chef salad also comes with a hard- boiled egg cut in half. It makes the perfect go-to salad when you're really hungry but want something on the healthier side.

"We have numerous dressings to choose from to go with that as well," Crawford pointed out.

Next on the lighter side, Track's End offers a grilled chicken salad. Crawford said they grill the chicken per order to make sure customers have that hot chicken laid over a cold bed of lettuce, with diced tomatoes, shredded cheddar cheese and a hard-boiled egg cut in half.

And, of course, you can't overlook the chicken salad dish.

"Our chicken for the chicken salad is cooked in-house, hand-pulled and homemade," Crawford said.

"Mixed with the perfect amount of seasonings and placed on three tomato slices, you will enjoy the lighter side of a lunch and still be satisfied."

Don't forget to finish your meal with one of the restaurant's desserts that rotate with daily menu options. Be sure to grab a good one when it's up.

Crawford said she and her team are working to continue bringing everyone quality food that is also quick and convenient.
