Following a sold-out European tour, R&B singer Anthony Hamilton has begun a national headlining tour for "Back to Love" that will bring him to Chattanooga's Memorial Auditorium on Sunday, Sept. 15.

The most recent buzz on Hamilton includes a new movie role -- he'll be in the sequel to "The Best Man," "The Best Man Holiday," opening in November -- and a couple of musical collaborations. In 2011, he dueted with Jill Scott on "So in Love," a dynamic pairing that set a record at 18 weeks at No. 1 on Billboard's Urban Adult Contemporary chart. More recently, he sang "Freedom" on the "Django Unchained" soundtrack with Elayna Boynton.

His latest solo release, 2011's "Back to Love," garnered two Grammy Award nominations -- for Best R&B Album and Best R&B Song for "Pray for Me."

Fans began paying attention to Hamilton in 2002, when he sang the infectious hook on the Nappy Roots' "Po' Folks." That performance netted the singer the first of 10 Grammy nominations for best rap/sung collaboration.

In 2003, he scored a platinum debut with "Coming From Where I'm From."

Hamilton won a Grammy in 2009 for his collaboration on Al Green's "You've Got the Love I Need."
