When Charles Kelley, one-third of country trio Lady Antebellum, announced in September he was planning a solo album, many country fans feared it signaled the end of the Grammy-winning group. Although all three members of Lady A insist that's not the case, Kelley has used the band's current break to launch a short, 22-city tour to promote his solo album, "The Driver," which will released in coming months.

Wednesday night, Jan. 13, The Driver tour stops at Revelry Room for WUSY's Concert for a Cause. Kelley's local fans will be among the first to hear music from this upcoming solo project. This show will benefit the Hunter Worley Foundation, which offers financial and spiritual support to families who have lost a child.

Ironically, although Kelley's taking a break from his famous trio, he formed another trio to help him sing the title track off "The Driver" album. Kelley, Dierks Bentley and Eric Paslay debuted "The Driver" single Oct. 13 on "The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon." The song and trio received a Grammy nomination for Best Country Duo/Group Performance.

That single is a tribute to stars' bus drivers, fans and crew, who all come together to create the onstage moments singers dream of having. In interviews, Kelley describes the single as "the last eight years of my life put in a song. It's an idea I had while out on the road. You get tight with your bus driver; you start to appreciate all the people in your camp."
