Music professors from Middle Tennessee State University and the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga will meet in Cleveland, Tenn., on Friday, Sept. 16, for a Two Plus One concert.

Dr. Christine Isley-Farmer, a soprano from MTSU, and Dr. Rebecca Tate St. Goar, a mezzo-soprano from UTC, will join forces with Joseph Walker on piano to present a duet recital.

The program will feature works by Purcell, Schumann, Brahms, Dvorak, Paladilhe, Delibes and Laitman. Much of the literature they've chosen is rarely performed.

They also will perform "Calm Waters," a new piece composed for them by Paul Osterfield, a music professor at MTSU, with poetry by Isley-Farmer.

The performance starts at 7 p.m. in the George R. Johnson Cultural Heritage Center auditorium on the campus of Cleveland State Community College on Adkisson Drive. The concert is sponsored by the Cleveland State Music Department as part of the college's 50th anniversary celebration.

Admission is free. For more information, call Karen Dale at 423-472-7141, ext. 303.
