Country singer Darryl Worley will be in South Pittsburg, Tenn., on Tuesday, July 11, when he headlines the Marion County Christmas Fund for Kids Concert. The concert will be held in the Princess Theatre, 215 S. Cedar Ave., at 7 p.m. CDT.

This is the third year that Jennifer and Jimmy Layne have hosted a concert to boost the children's Christmas fund. The Laynes, of the country/gospel duo Back Home, host the event as a way to give back to the community. They were longtime session singers before beginning their music ministry full-time.

Worley has had three No. 1 singles, most notably "Have You Forgotten," his 9-11 tribute ballad that spent seven weeks at No. 1 in 2003. The other two are "I Miss My Friend" and "Awful, Beautiful Life."

Nine other songs have broken into the Top 40, including "Sounds Like Life To Me," "I just Came Back From a War" and "If Something Should Happen."

Concert admission is free, however donations will be collected during the concert for the fund.
