Southern Adventist University Symphony Orchestra is presenting a program of Beethoven's music twice in the coming week.

The public has two opportunities coming up to hear Southern Adventist University's Symphony Orchestra perform a program of work by Ludwig van Beethoven. The orchestra is conducted by Laurie Minner, associate professor of music at Southern.

The first concert is Sunday, Nov. 12, at 7:30 p.m., when the orchestra will perform at Collegedale Church of Seventh-day Adventists, 4829 College Drive East.

The following day, Monday, Nov. 13, the group will perform at the Jewish Cultural Center, 5461 North Terrace, at 7 p.m. Space in this venue is limited; reservations are encouraged by calling 423-493-0270 or emailing rsvp@jewishchattanooga.com.

The program of Beethoven's music will include "Egmont Overture, op.84," "Piano Concerto No. 4 in G major, op.58" featuring pianist Chi Yong Yun and "Symphony No. 2 in D major, op.36."

Both events are free and open to the public.
