What's better than a crisp fall evening, roasting marshmallows for s'mores around a campfire and listening to a singer playing guitar?
The popularity of that scenario has prompted the return of the free, fireside concerts in Greenway Farm in Hixson. They begin Thursday, Oct. 4, at 7 p.m. continuing each Thursday through October.
All ages are invited to come out and unplug, just enjoying an autumn evening in the park. Bring a blanket or folding chair for seating, marshmallow roasting stick or perhaps a picnic supper.
Featured musicians will play on the porch stage at Sniteman log cabin behind the gardens at Greenway Farm. Lou Wamp and the Bluetastics are up first at Thursday's show.
