Male chorus inSpirit will open the new season of Sunday Afternoon at Simpson concerts on Sunday, Oct. 14. The 3 p.m. concert will be held in Simpson United Methodist Church, 601 McFarland Ave., Rossville, Georgia.
Directed by Gerald Peel, inSpirit came together informally in spring 2003 to sing for a church event. The success of that performance led to the permanent formation of the group.
InSpirit is an auditioned community chorus and its members follow many professions. There are accountants, nurses, pastors, physicians, real estate brokers, retirees, salesmen, students and teachers among them. While diverse in age, occupation and denomination, they are united in spreading the love of Christ through music.
The chorus has taken two international tours, with a third to Italy scheduled for spring 2020.
All performances in the Sunday Afternoon at Simpson concert series are free and open to the public.
