Chattanooga Now It's a packed week for free Chattanooga area college campus concerts

Ensembles from three regional colleges and universities are holding performances over the coming week that are open to the community.

All are free with the exception of the Dalton State College concert on Wednesday.

 

Jazz Ensemble

Southern Adventist University Percussion Ensemble

Directed by Richard Henson, adjunct professor of music at Southern, the concert will feature music by Hans-Gunter Broadmann, Christopher Deane, Eckhard Kopetzki, Steve Snowden and Ivan Trevino.

Featured guest will be Shane Jones, director of percussion studies at the University of Tennessee at Martin. In addition to performing on Broadway as percussionist for the musical "1776," he has performed in Brazil, China, Puerto Rico and West Africa.
