Since moving to Chattanooga from Atlanta in May, Richard Daigle has become immersed in the city's growing music scene. He's played several open-mic nights and was a finalist in The Camp House Songwriters Competition.

Now he's launching Chattanooga Song Circle, a new listening room that will host a regular concert series to hear top local artists perform their original material.

Partnering with Stratton Tingle and Joan Marie Worsham, owner of Bluegrass Grill, the series will launch Friday, Sept. 20, in Bluegrass Grill, 55 E. Main St., at 7 p.m.

Daigle will host the debut show as well as perform, along with Emily Kate Boyd and Butch Ross.

Daigle's plan is for Chattanooga Song Circle to be held every other Friday. Admission will be a suggested donation of $5. Beer and food will be available for purchase. Proceeds will benefit the performing artists and SoundCorps.
