The Chattanooga Symphony & Opera will present "Mozart & More" on Sunday, Jan. 12, at 3 p.m. in the Humanities Theatre on the campus of Chattanooga State Community College, 4501 Amnicola Highway.

This Chamber Series performance will feature pieces selected by the principal musicians of the CSO. Some of the selections include French composer Elsa Barraine's "Ouvrage de Dame," Mozart's Quintet for Piano and Winds, contemporary American composer Libby Larsen's boogie-woogie-inspired "Four on the Floor" and "Theme and Variations" for flute and strings by Amy Beach.

"This intimate chamber concert will feature the core members of the CSO and principal keyboard musician Alan Nichols," says Kayoko Dan, music director.

"The program includes Mozart's beloved string quartet along with works by female composers Elsa Barraine, Amy Beach and Libby Larsen. This season, we have a new principal oboe, Jessica Smithorn, and this will be a great opportunity to get to know her in an intimate musical setting."

Ticketholders are invited to attend a post-concert talk immediately following the performance.

Seating for the concert is general admission. Tickets are $28 and can be purchased by calling the CSO Box Office at 423-267-8583 or by visiting the CSO's website at http://chattanoogasymphony.org/
