Whigs' Parker Gispert plays The Woodshop on Saturday

Parker Gispert, one of the founders of The Whigs, will perform at The Woodshop, 5500 St. Elmo Ave., at 8 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 1, in support of his debut solo album, "Sunlight Tonight."

The album features contributions from Patrick Carney of the Black Keys, former Sparklehorse vocalist Sol Seppy and Adele bassist Samuel Dixon.

Parker wrote the record while living on a 100-acre hemp farm an hour outside of Nashville.
