You've probably noticed Chattanooga Now is a little lighter than usual.

That can be attributed to the fact that 23 of the 26 concerts, plays and other entertainment events scheduled for this weekend were either canceled or postponed to protect the public's health and safety from spread of the coronavirus. Cancellations began last Wednesday, and postponements were still happening at press time. However, venue owners and event organizers are to be commended for immediately putting public safety above their bottom lines.

With the shortage of entertainment events, the Times Free Press is temporarily suspending publication of Chattanooga Now until music venues and performance halls are up and running again.

Until then, coverage of entertainment events still on the calendar may be found inside Thursday editions of the paper and online at timesfreepress.com.

Readers have trusted Chattanooga Now for this area's best entertainment coverage for 20 years and will again when this health threat has passed. We thank you for your patience.
