Friends Fest raises funds for Harrison Bay State Park

Visitors to Harrison Bay State Park on Saturday will find more than the usual offerings of picnicking, boating, swimming and fishing.

During Friends Fest, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., relay races, games, crafts, face painting, water balloons and other activities will be offered by the Friends of Harrison Bay State Park.

The nonprofit organization is charged with preserving, promoting and enhancing the resources of the park.

Money raised Saturday will directly benefit the park.

Tickets to participate in activities will cost 25 cents.

Friends Fest, which also includes food and entertainment, will be held outdoors near the playground, pool and recreation hall.

Harrison Bay State Park is at 8411 Harrison Bay Road, about one mile off Highway 58.
