Ringgold Bachelor Auction needs single, heroic men

Planners with the Ringgold (Ga.) City Playground Committee are taking their cues from Uncle Sam and looking for a few good men.

Specifically, single men who are serving or have served in the military or as first responders with a police department, fire department or rescue squad. They're needed for a bachelor auction at 6 p.m. Thursday, May 29, at the Ringgold Depot.

All proceeds from the event will go toward building Crossroads Unity Family Park, which will be designed as an all-inclusive park to meet any special needs of children, adults and wounded warriors, says committee member Shay Love.

"All the bachelors have to do is eat dinner with the lady or table that bids the highest on them the night of the auction," Love says.

Eligible men interested in the Bachelor Auction should call 706-965-2378.

Dinner will be served immediately after the auction. Tickets are $25 per person, $200 for a table of eight. For dinner reservations, email googoo227@catt.com.
