The Chattanooga Roller Girls are sponsoring a Dog Days of Summer Doubleheader: back-to-back bouts Saturday at the Chattanooga Convention Center, 1150 Carter St., along with a benefit for the McKamey Animal Center.

The doors open at 4 p.m. before the Chattanooga B-team, the B-Railers, kick off the match at 5 o'clock with a bout against the Spartanburg Deadly Dolls. The Chattanooga All-Stars will face the Greenville Derby Dames at 7 p.m. The event is expected to end about 9 p.m.

Proceeds from the night's ticket sales will go to McKamey Animal Center in support of its "Butts for Mutts" fundraiser. Representatives from McKamey will be on-site to take orders for smoked Boston pork butts from visitors.

The half-time show will be a Ruff Relay Race, involving audience participation with prizes provided by Infinity Flux. Stop by the MVP table for a chance to win a $50 tattoo from Main Line Ink by playing "Guess the Pet Parent" game.

Tickets at the door are $12. Military personnel with ID are $8, kids ages 6-12 are $5, children 5 and under are free.
