Refinery Mercantile & Apothecary, 3800 St. Elmo Ave., is hosting a Holiday Give Back Night for the Humane Educational Society Thursday, Dec. 13, from 5 to 7 p.m.Enjoy music, food, a silent auction and sales promotions throughout the shop, with a percentage of this evening’s sales to be donated to the HES.
Two animal shelters are partnering for an event Friday, Dec. 14, with one goal in mind: pet adoption.
Chattanooga Humane Educational Society, 212 N. Highland Park Ave., and McKamey Animal Center, 4500 N. Access Road, are holding their fifth Holiday All-Nighter Adoption event from noon to midnight Friday, presented by Off Leash K9 Trainers of Chattanooga.
Special adoption fees will be offered during the 12-hour event: $12 for cats, $24 for dogs (excluding ambassadors). Staff and volunteers will stay at the shelters until midnight in an effort to place as many animals as possible in new homes- just in time for Christmas.
All adoptions include spay/neuter, up-to-date vaccinations and microchip.
Beginning at 9 p.m., the event transforms into a pajama party. Staff and volunteers will wear their favorite sleepwear, there will be refreshments and a selfie station to make a photo with your new family member.
