Dads from all around Chattanooga can score some serious points with their kids on Saturday, March 10, when First Things First launches a new event, Kickin' it with Dad.

This day of recreational-style soccer will be held in partnership with the Chattanooga Football Club at the Highland Park Commons and Soccer Fields, 2000 Union Ave., one block off Bailey Avenue.

Kickin' it with Dad is designed to be an active day for dads and their children to spend time together and enjoy each other's company. There will be games, music, door prizes and more.

Fathers, grandpas, uncles and mentors are all encouraged to bring the children in their lives. Each adult will leave with knowledge to strengthen their parenting skills. Research shows that children are better in every area of their life when a dad is active in their lives, according to First Things First.

Tickets are $20 for one adult and one child, $10 for each additional child. Children must be 5 or older to play. Concessions will be sold.
