Through most of the spring and fall and all of the summer, Chattanooga Market is located in the open-air First Tennessee Pavilion on Reggie White Boulevard. It is the place to go for locally sourced produce, meats, handmade arts and crafts and unique gift ideas.

For the last several years, the whole operation has moved inside the Chattanooga Convention Center for the first three weekends of December as the rebranded Chattanooga Holiday Market. The concept is the same, with more than 200 local, regional and some national vendors setting up shop to sell everything from pottery to jewelry, along with bath and body products, clothing, wood furniture, hot cocoa and spirits.

Chattanooga Holiday Market 2018 will open Saturday, Dec. 1, continuing Saturdays and Sundays through Dec. 16. Admission is free.

"We had some traveling vendors in the past," says operations manager Steve Brehm, "but there has been more demand from local vendors lately and we give them priority, so it is mostly local. We even have some that just do this."

Brehm says that this year organizers have reached out to local musicians, including some school groups, to provide live entertainment. See schedule for details.

The kids can even have a picture taken with Santa for free each day from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., and the Convention Center staff has food available for purchase.

Patrons have found Chattanooga Holiday Market a good place to buy one-of-a-kind gifts for family and friends, but it is also a time to make contact with vendors who do commissioned work during the winter months.
