The second in a trio of classic films will be screened in Miller Park, 950 Market St., on Wednesday, Aug. 14.

Chattanooga Film Festival presents "Double Indemnity" at 7:30 p.m. as part of its Summer Film Series. Admission is free; food trucks will be on-site to purchase snacks.

This is the 75th anniversary of the making of this film, which is considered to have set the standard in film noir.

Barbara Stanwyck and Fred MacMurray star in the movie directed by Billy Wilder. A calculating wife encourages her wealthy husband to sign a double indemnity policy proposed by smitten insurance agent Walter Neff. As the wife and agent plot the husband's murder, they are pursued by a suspicious claims manager (Edward G. Robinson). It's a race against time to get away with the perfect crime.

The final outdoor movie presented by CFF will be Aug. 28, when "Bullitt" is shown.
