At the stroke of midnight Tuesday, Dec. 31, the 20-teens will end. Will the start of the "New Roaring '20s" find you kissing the one you love under a shower of balloons and confetti, or will you mark the new year quietly at home after dinner out?

No matter what your style, there's a New Year's Eve celebration for you. Following is an overview of where adults can ring in the new year on Tuesday night. As always, guests must be 21 or older with valid ID to be served alcohol at any New Year's Eve celebration.

 

2020 NEW YEAR'S EVE PARTY

* Where: Westbound Bar & Regan's Place, 24 Station St.

* When: 9 p.m. Tuesday to 2:30 a.m. Wednesday

* Admission: $20 in advance, $30 at the door

This is two separate parties for the price of one. Westbound Bar will host a country dance party while Regan's Place throws a Retro Weekend Dance Party playing favorite hits from the 1980s to early 2000s.

A Wine and Bubbly Bar will be set up on the Westbound stage selling drinks by the glass and bottle.

The first 50 guests arriving in each location will receive party favors.

 

BEATERS ROCKIN' NEW YEAR'S EVE

* Where: Chattanooga Convention Center, 1150 Carter St.

While waiting to sing "Auld Lang Syne," partygoers can dance to the music of The Beaters. The ticket includes party favors and balloon drop at midnight.

 

FUTURE WONDERLAND

* Where: Dwell Hotel, 120 E. 10th St.

The retro Dwell Hotel is transforming into a futuristic space party for New Year's Eve. DJ Ben Lee and performer T-yana Montice will entertain guests, who will enjoy cosmic cocktails and futuristic food at multiple food stations.

Guests are encouraged to dress in attire that's either retro, futuristic or alien-inspired. If you're not into costumes, just wear your shiny, bling-encrusted party clothes.

 

NEW YEAR'S EVE AT THE EDWIN

Kiss your special someone at midnight beneath a balloon drop on the fifth floor of The Edwin. Your ticket to this New Year's Eve party will include heavy hors d'oeuvres, open bar (top-shelf liquor available for purchase), party favors, midnight champagne toast, photo booth, dessert and coffee bar.

 

NEW YEAR'S EVE CELEBRATION

* Where: The Signal, 1810 Chestnut St

* When: 10 p.m. Tuesday to 2:30 a.m. Wednesday

* Admission: $25 individual, $30 couples, $50 VIP

The countdown to midnight starts at 10 p.m. at The Signal, where Yung Jones, Tony Owens and Phil Jones will entertain until the champagne toast at midnight.

 

NEW YEAR'S EVE DINNER ON THE BLUFF

What better way to bid 2019 farewell than enjoying fine dining in the 1920s mansion overlooking the Tennessee River. The New Year's Eve menu will offer themed cocktails and Back Inn's signature winter menu.

 

NEW YEAR'S EVE CONCERTS

Fan favorite Paul Childers returns to Songbirds from Nashville for a show honoring Jimi Hendrix.

Touring nationally and internationally since 2017, Childers has opened for Vince Gill and Robert Cray, performed at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and at the grand opening of Songbirds Guitar Museum.

NEW YEAR'S EVE IN WEST VILLAGE

* Where: Downtown area around Westin Hotel, Eighth, Pine and Chestnut streets

* When: 6 p.m. Tuesday to 12:30 a.m. Wednesday

* Admission: Free; $5 Pints and Pedals rides from 6 to 8 p.m.

The block party kicks off with street performers, live music, food, cocktails, games and face painting while waiting for fireworks and laser shows. Designed to be a family-friendly party for all ages, there will be a "not-so-late ball drop" so the kids can count down to the new year before going to bed.

 

NEW YEAR'S ON THE RIVER

* Where: Southern Belle Riverboat, 201 Riverfront Parkway

Cruise into 2020 aboard the Southern Belle.

Boarding begins at 8:30 p.m. for a 9 o'clock departure, followed by a three-hour cruise for ages 21 and up.

A DJ will spin tunes, and guests will be given party favors, souvenir wine glass and bottle of champagne. The buffet dinner will offer prime rib, shrimp creole, white rice, baby red potatoes, vegetable medley, salad, dinner rolls, cheesecake, iced tea, coffee and water.

 

PUCKETT'S DINNER & SHOW

* Where: Puckett's Gro. & Restaurant, 2 W. Aquarium Way

* When: 9 p.m. dinner seating, 10 p.m. show Tuesday

The special menu includes options such as barbecue pimento cheese bites, homemade guacamole and chips, 8-ounce slow-smoked prime rib, hibachi-style Atlantic salmon, smoked-and-herbed half chicken, strawberry chocolate cheesecake and deep-fried brownie for dessert.

Wade Henry Sims and the Last Band will play before the champagne toast at midnight.

 

READ HOUSE NEW YEAR'S EVE

Welcome the 2020s by wearing your best Roaring '20s attire for this party in the historic downtown hotel that would make Jay Gatsby envious.

Doors open at 8 p.m. The 10-piece band Gwen Hughes and the Retro Kats start playing at 9:30 p.m. Heavy hors d'oeuvres will be served until 10 p.m. with a champagne toast at midnight.

Wrap up the night with a dessert and coffee bar along with light snacks before heading home.

 

ROARING '20S NEW YEAR'S EVE PARTY

Put on your fringed sheath and come dressed in your '20s best for this Roaring '20s celebration. The party will include music, a photo booth, hors d'oeuvres, cash bar and complimentary champagne toast at midnight. All proceeds will benefit the Chattanooga Autism Center.
