Let the good times roll when the Chattanooga chapter of The National Coalition of 100 Black Women hosts its annual Mardi Gras ball on Saturday, Feb. 16, at the Chattanooga Convention Center, 1150 Carter St., beginning at 8 p.m.

The elegant evening includes a buffet dinner and live entertainment by New Breed Band. A cash bar will be available. Formal attire is appropriate.

The Mardi Gras ball is a fundraiser for NCBW's scholarship fund and mentoring program at Chattanooga Girls Leadership Academy.

"This is an exciting time for our organization as we embark on yet another year of fundraising and serving the community," says event chairwoman Beverly McKeldin. "Without these fundraisers and the community's support, it would not be possible for us to award $10,000 a year in scholarships to deserving high school students."

Tickets are $55 per person, $440 for a table for eight. Although the deadline to purchase tickets has passed, anyone interested should call 423-698-0029 as soon as possible to check space availability.
