Father-daughter dances starting this weekend in the Chattanooga area

Five organizations are sponsoring a night on the town for little princesses and their dads, guardians, grandfathers, uncles or other special male role model.

Father-daughter dances begin this weekend, continuing into the first weekend of March. It's a night for making memories that will be cherished for years.

Father-Daughter Benefit Dance

» When: 6:30-9:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 15

A Masquerade Ball is the theme of the 12th annual dance for fathers and daughters that benefits Four Points Inc. This nonprofit assists families involved in domestic violence as well as working to prevent domestic violence.

Masquerade masks are encouraged, but not required.

Tickets include snacks and refreshments, a silent auction and dancing to the music of a DJ. Roses and corsages will be sold on-site as well as professional photo packages.

Only a limited number of tickets will be sold. Advance ticket purchase is required because tickets will not be sold at the door.

This annual dad-daughter dance sponsored by Hamilton County Parks and Recreation has a new day and new venue. The Masquerade Ball in The Chattanoogan's ballroom will include a buffet and photo booth in the ticket price; professionally made photo packages are additional.

Winter Wonderland Father-Daughter Dance

» When: 6:30-8:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 17

Girls, ask your father to bring you to this dance in Varallo Hall, where guests will dance to a DJ, enjoy refreshments and a photo booth. Reservations are due by the morning of Feb. 17.

Daddy & Daughter Dance

» When: 5-7:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 24

» Where: American Legion Post, 3329 Ringgold Road

» Admission: $25 per dad-daughter pair, each additional guest requires an additional ticket

Chattanooga Dads sponsors night for all dads and daughters to eat, drink, take photos and dance.

This magical experience includes dinner, dancing, dessert, gifts for the girls and a keepsake photo to remember the special night.

The dance is sponsored by the YMCA Camp Ocoee's Adventure Guides & Princess Program. It is limited to 200 people, so advance ticket purchase is recommended.
