Children invited to learn about Cherokee culture this Saturday at Creative Discovery Museum

Children are invited to learn more about the Eastern Band of Cherokee during a special event at the Creative Discovery Museum on Saturday, Feb. 23, in conjunction with new exhibit "Native Voices: New England Tribal Families."

This Native Voices special event is scheduled from noon to 4 p.m. at the children's museum, 321 Chestnut St.

Guests will have the opportunity to interact with and learn more about the Cherokee by meeting artists, also called "tradition bearers," whose work reflects the Cherokee's traditions.

This event is included in the museum's regular admission of $14.95.

In addition to this special programming, the "Native Voices" exhibit will be open for exploration on the second floor.
