Teachers have an opportunity to see first-hand what the Tennessee Aquarium and Imax Theater can offer school groups when the aquarium hosts Teacher Appreciation Day on Saturday, Jan. 26, during operating hours of 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

And as a way to say thanks to teachers, the Aquarium will not charge them admission.

Educators must provide a current teacher ID or pay stub at check-in to receive free admission. Additional Aquarium/Imax combo tickets may be purchased at the rate of $32.50 adults, $13 kids ages 3-18. There is no charge for kids under 3 years old.

Teacher Appreciation Day admission includes one IMAX movie. Film entry is on a first-come, first-served basis.

Imax movies showing Saturday are "Pandas 3D" at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.; "Oceans 3D: Our Blue Planet" at noon and 2 p.m.; and "The Wild Around You 3D" at 1 p.m.

Throughout the day, the Aquarium's education staff will be available to show teachers how the Tennessee Aquarium and Imax Theater can serve as an extension to the classroom.
