Scenic City Cruizers Contributed Photo / Twenty specialty awards and Top 75 awards will be handed out at the Scenic City Cruizers' ninth Scenic City Open Car Show on Saturday.

The Scenic City Cruizers will host their ninth annual Scenic City Open Car Show on Saturday, Sept. 28, but this year the event is rolling into a new location.

The popular charity car show will be held at Lee Pointe, 6400 Lee Highway in the ICCM Theatre/Miller-Motte Technical College parking lot. The new location is easily accessible from Lee Highway, Interstate 75 or Highway 153.

Show hours are 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. Should it rain, the car show will be held Oct. 5.

This show is open to all vehicles, and presents Top 75 awards along with 20 specialty awards, such as People's Choice and Best Sounding Exhaust. A cash award will be given to the top three car clubs' participation.

The event includes a silent auction, 50/50 drawing and $500 in cash awarded in a grand-prize drawing at the end of show.

Registration fee is $20, which includes a ticket for a door prize and goody bag. Proceeds benefit Chattanooga Room in the Inn, a shelter for homeless women and their children.
