DISNEY +

Disney surprised its fans last week with the announcement the company would release "Frozen 2" three months ahead of schedule. The sequel to the uber-smash "Frozen" debuted on Disney Plus on Sunday, March 15.

On its Twitter feed, the Walt Disney Co. said "Frozen 2" would offer "some fun and joy during this challenging period." (We're assuming the company was referring to the coronavirus threat, not two weeks of entertaining the kids while confined at home.)

But seriously, with so many waiting out the virus at home, Disney followed its "Frozen" announcement with word of the early release of "Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker."

Previously set for purchase on March 17, the last of the Skywalker saga became available March 13 on Vudu, Apple TV, iTunes, Google Play, Amazon and FandangoNow.
