As things start to cool down outside, social calendars begin to heat up. Social activities have been shown to increase feelings of happiness and connectedness, therefore reducing one's chances of depression and even certain diseases - just like philanthropy. So why not combine the two?

Here, you'll find a year's worth of events that not only offer fun, but philanthropy as well. No matter the causes closest to your heart, there's a date here for you. So break out that little black dress. Date night is more important than you think.

To have your event listed, email jbardoner@timesfreepress.com.
