Stay tuned for these upcoming shows

Texas-based indie artist Shakey Graves is still out on tour in support of his phenomenal 2018 release “Can’t Wake Up” and is set to perform at The Signal on Tuesday 5/7.After the recent release of their debut album, Pacific Northwest-based Reignwolf is on tour and will bring their raw mix of heavy rock-n-roll and blues to Songbirds North on Friday 5/10.On the same night that legendary alt-country band Son Volt is playing downstairs at Songbirds North, great music will also be flowing upstairs as indie artist Lucy Dacus performs on Saturday 5/11.Shovels & Rope is continuing their rise in popularity, moving up to the Tivoli Theatre for a Thursday 5/30 performance, with all-female folk supergroup I’m With Her opening.

The ninth season of "Bluegrass Underground" will premiere on PBS in September, but locals can see the performances firsthand this month, right up the road in Pelham, Tennessee, at The Caverns. The recordings for the new season are Saturday, May 18 and Sunday, May 19, and once again boast a very diverse and impressive lineup.

The Caverns offers many different ticket options, including VIP experiences and hotel and cabin packages, so there is pretty much a price for everyone.

The Saturday performances will be from Steve Earle, The Devil Makes Three and Lauren Morrow. Sunday will include Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Brothers Osborne and Gregory Alan Isakov.

Isakov is a special treat because he doesn't make it to the Southeast very often, and when he does, it is normally just to larger cities like Atlanta. A native of South Africa, Isakov was raised in Philadelphia and now calls Boulder, Colorado, home. He started touring as a musician at age 16 but broke out as a solo artist and released his first album in 2003. He now has six studio albums under his belt, the latest being 2018's "Evening Machines," the second album he has released under his own label, Suitcase Town Music.

A true singer-songwriter, Isakov delivers an indie folk style of music that is very soft and delicate - and which should be amazing to witness in the depths of a cave.

If you want to experience the performances live, make your plans to visit The Caverns soon because they normally sell out for these rare experiences. If you cannot make these recordings, PBS will air Season 9 of "Bluegrass Underground" nationally for an entire year after the premiere in September.
