There is only a handful of local artists that can draw a big crowd for their live performances in Chattanooga, and theatrical indie rock band Nick Lutsko + The Gimmix is one of those few.

Even though it has been four years since we have received a new album from Lutsko, he retains his prominence and allure by not playing live too often, and when he does, there is normally a big production surrounding the performance.

The band's debut performance at The Signal on Friday, Oct. 25 may be one of the group's biggest spectacles to date. Not only have they lined up a lot of special guests throughout the night, but the show will be in celebration of the release of their new album. Lutsko, also a producer, has been working on the album for a while now, tweaking things here and there with the other band members, and waiting for the perfect time to line up a big concert with the release of the album.

The show on Oct. 25 is very close to Halloween, so they have planned for the night to be a masquerade. Also, throughout the night, the band will feature appearances by other local groups The Pop-up Project, Subterranean Circus, The Chattahooligans, UTC Marching Brass, Narcoleptic Birds and more.

If you've seen Nick Lutsko + The Gimmix perform before, you know you are in for a treat. But if you have heard about the hype and are not really not sure what the fuss is about, bring yourself to this special performance at The Signal - and come prepared for an experience.
