In late June, the Chattanooga River Market reopened. This branch of the Chattanooga Market is held in the plaza in front of the Tennessee Aquarium on Saturdays and, now, Sundays. The smaller open-air market features farmers, artisans and special activities including yoga, all while following CDC-recommended social distancing guidelines.

"The idea to add Sundays came as a natural result of the essentials-only format that currently exists [at the Chattanooga Market] and the re-opening of the Tennessee Aquarium, our hosts," says Chris Thomas, executive director of umbrella group Public Markets. "We wanted the artists who are not included in our downtown market to have a greater opportunity to sell their goods."
