If you're always looking for one more thing you can do to reduce waste and make the planet a better place, you don't have to shake those ideals when you go out for a drink. At least not if you're headed to No Hard Feelings, a no-fuss, no-frills, neighborhood cocktail bar on Broad Street across from the Read House.

The bar's Trashmopolitan cocktail is fun variation on the Cosmopolitan, a favorite drink of Carrie Bradshaw and her "Sex and the City" crew that's undeniably stylish no matter the decade.

"We use husks from lemons and also limes after juicing, and also the fruit remnants left from berries after making a flavored simple syrup, and make what we call 'trash syrup,'" says No Hard Feelings co-owner Freddy Schwenk. "The fun part of the drink is that the syrup recipe is fluid, and the flavor and color of the drink can change slightly week to week."

The Trashmopolitain

Serves 1

What you need:

> 1 ounce of vodka

> 1 1/2 ounces Cathead bitter orange vodka

> 1/2 ounce pisco

> 3/4 ounce "trash syrup"*

What you do:

Combine all ingredients and enjoy!

*For trash syrup:

What you need:

> Husks of lemon, lime and orange

> A handful of blackberries or strawberries, depending on what's around

> Regular white sugar

What you do:

Put husks and berries in a stock pot and add enough water to just cover the top. Boil for about 20 minutes. Pass through a fine mesh strainer and, using the stock you just made, combine water and regular white sugar in equal parts by volume. Mix keeps for up to a month in the fridge.
