"I have always been inspired by break dancers from the 1980's and the energy of music. Up close the areas of motion look like simple lines and shapes, but stand farther away and those same areas look blurry with motion.
"I connected with the photographer who took the original vintage photo in 1983 and the person who was the dancer, and they are both inspiring."
