Artist: James (Jim) Tucker
Medium: Acrylic on wood
"Having a grandfather who was a fisherman and a grandmother who was an artist, my love of painting the interplay of light and water came naturally," says Jim Tucker.
"When doing this painting, I was trying to capture the otherworldly feeling I had as [my wife and I] walked along the shore [during a vacation]. The dark tones of the trees seemed to hide mystery, though the sun, well below the horizon line, gave the sky and water a silvery quality that underscored the stillness of our surroundings."
