The community is buzzing as the completion of the construction on Interstate 75 looms. Officials with general contractor Bell and Associates say the project will be done by July 1, nearly four months ahead of schedule.
Northbound traffic was routed onto the new section of interstate Monday night and the new northbound on-ramp, the part of the project that is a cloverleaf, should open Monday.
Just to refresh your memory, the project began Nov. 15, 2007.
No word on the next interstate project, but let's hope it is up in Athens.
