Residents interested in learning about roadway and construction progress should plan to attend the next East Hamilton Community Meeting held by County Commissioner Sabrena Smedley and City Councilman Larry Grohn.

Smedley will review the numerous ongoing roadway projects and give updated finishing date estimates, as well as discuss any concerns in the community.

Grohn, who recently met with Chattanooga Department of Transportation Director Blythe Bailey, said he will discuss CDOT's proposals and how they will impact the area.

State Sen. Todd Gardenhire will also be attending, along with state representatives Mike Carter and Marc Gravitt, to give an update on issues they are dealing with at the state level, Smedley said. Collegedale Tomorrow Foundation President David Barto will present his plans for the Collegedale Commons, which is currently in its fundraising phase, as well as plans for a regular Collegedale Market.

"This will be an informative meeting that anyone living in the East Brainerd, Apison, Ooltewah or Collegedale areas will want to attend to get the latest updates on issues affecting our community," she added.

The community forum will take place at Morris Hill Baptist Church, located at 1804 Morris Hill Road, at 6 p.m.
