Recent updates: The Georgia Winery has a new warehouse which will allow the business to produce, distribute and store more of its famous sweet, Southern wine. Currently, the winery produces an estimated 150,000 bottles per year from its muscadine grapes, but with the new 2,500-square-foot space, that number is expected to grow, said employee Haley Long.

Upcoming events: The winery is hosting a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the newly completed warehouse space Tuesday, July 11 at noon. The event is free and open to the community, and peach cider and light refreshments will be served.

More to come: "We want to continue hosting a lineup of events throughout each year," Long said. "Right now, our goal is to continue distributing our wines so that people all over the country can enjoy the sweet, Southern wine."

Personal favorite: Long said the estate-grown Muscadine Gold is her preferred wine, made from organically grown grapes from the winery's farm.

Contact information: The winery is at 6469 Battlefield Parkway in Ringgold. For more information, visit or call 706-937-9463.
