Name: Wrath Burgers and Brew

Owners: Duane Kilpatrick, Stephen Williams and Robert Sarti

Date opened: April 2017

Theme: Inspired by stories of the Greek gods, who wanted men to eat, drink and live life to the fullest, the staff at Wrath Brewing works to incorporate mythology from various cultures into many aspects of the restaurant. The best example can be found on its menu, which features cleverly named crowd favorites like the meat-centric Valhalla Platter appetizer, Minotaur burger or spicy Woman Scorned wings.

Best burgers: Among the joint's most popular burgers is the Apollo, said Kilpatrick. Its patty is made with a blend of ground chuck, sirloin and brisket, then the burger is topped with applewood-smoked bacon, cheddar and a fried egg. Another favorite is El Chupacabra, a legendary selection made with ground chorizo, then topped with a whole slice of grilled jalapeño, provolone and guacamole.

Best brews: Though the Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale on tap is undoubtedly Wrath's most popular, Kilpatrick said, the bar offers a rotating selection of about 50 different craft beers, many of which are brewed locally. "You're going to come in every single week and there's multiple different beers to try," he said. In the next year or so, the owners hope to start brewing their own unique selection of beer in-house, with each named after a mythological god or goddess.

Live music: Each Friday night at 8 p.m., Wrath kicks off the weekend with karaoke. On Saturday nights, visitors will typically find a full band, while Sunday night patrons will be treated to solo acoustic sets.

The goal: Aside from becoming a brewhouse, the staff at Wrath works to make each meal a "full-flavor experience," pairing menu items with the available drinks, said Kilpatrick. "We don't want to be just your normal little run-of-the-mill bar," he said. "We want you to come in and experience beer and food."

Hours: Monday and Thursday, 4-10 p.m.; Friday and Saturday, 11 a.m. to midnight; Sunday, noon to 9 p.m.; Tuesday and Wednesday, closed.

Location: 61 RBC Drive, Ringgold
