Goat farmers visit Ooltewah Farmers Market

In honor of National Dairy Goat Awareness Week, the Ooltewah Farmers Market hosted Dixie Does Alpines and Dixie Soaps Goat Milk Soap.

The goat farmers brought some of their purebred Alpine dairy goats for a milking demonstration, met attendees, and allowed them to sample some freshly made goat cheese, taste goat milk and try out some goat milk lotions and soaps.

Held every Thursday from 3-6 p.m., the Ooltewah Farmers Market is located at Ooltewah Nursery & Landscape Co., 5829 Main St. in Ooltewah.
