St. Peter's launches 'Turkey Train' for Chattanooga Food Bank

Last year, St. Peter's School collected 768 turkeys, 1,056 nonperishable foods and 1,520 meals. I know we'll exceed that this year," said Becky Sharp, public relations manager for the school.

Preschool through fifth-grade students at St. Peter's Episcopal School helped stock the Chattanooga Food Bank in time for Thanksgiving. Forming the fifth annual "St. Peter's Turkey Train," the children lined up from the food collection site out to the Chattanooga Food Bank truck. Each food item was passed child to child all the way out the door and into the truck.

Community service projects like the Turkey Train reflect the joy of service that the Ashland Terrace school works to encourage in all its students, teachers and families.
