For those taking on what will likely be the biggest - and most stressful - party they'll ever plan, Cambridge Square is hosting the inaugural Ooltewah Bridal Market to bring all the essential elements of a wedding together in one convenient place.
"There are so many wedding facilities in the Ooltewah area," said Miranda Perez, event organizer and owner of InspireMi Agency, which plans other Cambridge Square events such as Oktoberfest in Ooltewah. "The demographic is perfect for a bridal market, and we wanted to bring something to brides in our area."
On Sunday, March 31 from noon to 5 p.m., brides will have the chance to meet with more than 50 wedding vendors who can provide resources to help them plan their big day at the Parisian-themed market.
A fashion show will feature gowns from Barn Door Boutique and Mrs. Bridal, and breakout sessions will run throughout the day led by experts on wedding-related topics such as reception fare, beauty, entertainment and event design.
While many similar events charge admission, said Perez, the Ooltewah Bridal Market is free for attendees.
"Weddings are so expensive as it is," she said. "One of our goals was to alleviate some of the financial burden off the bride as well."
